Rebuild of Train Station Rankweil
The reconstruction of Rankweil train station is taking place under maintaining the entire public transport system.
Project:
The reconstruction basically consists of the construction of the fully accessible barrierfree pedestrian subway, the new lining of the main rails for faster arrival and departure of local trains, the renewal of the entire signal – communication - energy supply cables, the renewal of the drainage system on the entire station area, the construction and lifting of both platform levels (station side and insular), the adaption and expansion of noise
protection barriers, and furthermore as Rankweil train station to become the hub for regional traffic – public transport – indiviual transportation and ÖBB, the construction of platform roofings and bus terminal including the roofing, the construction of a station building and service building.
To keep the entire public transportation system running during the hole reconstruction works it was nessesary to devide the project into serveral constructionphases.
